Our Mission

Ezra Counseling is a Scottsdale-based collective of licensed therapists dedicated to creating a safe, warm, and environment.

We offer mental health care, therapy services, and counseling in Scottsdale AZ both in person and online.

FAQs: Your Questions Answered

Sessions vary based on each therapist. You can expect somewhere between $100-195 per 50-55 minute session. Our practicum therapists can work within a sliding scale if needed.

We do not take insurance. We accept cash, check, credit/debit card, and HSA debit cards for payment. If you wish to submit a claim to your insurance, we can provide you a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for any potential reimbursement you may receive depending on your out-of-network benefits.

The duration of therapy is discussed between you and your therapist. Our hope is that clients will begin to have tools and experience some relief from symptoms within the first 5 sessions. The number of sessions will be determined by factors such as severity and history of symptoms, frequency of sessions, and readiness for change. Many people choose to meet with their therapist weekly or bi-weekly. Scheduling is done with your therapist depending on both your mental health goals and economic needs.

If you know the therapist from our counseling team you’d like to work with, you can call or email them to get a consultation set up. If you’re unsure about which therapist you’d like to collaborate with, please fill out the contact form or email info@ezracounseling. We will reply within 24-48 hours and set you up with a consultation call to see which therapist from our Scottsdale AZ counseling services may best fit your needs. Ready to take the first step towards walking in confidence, achieving better relationships, and simplifying the whirlwind of life? Get started with us today.

We offer both in-person and online sessions.

Finding a good fit for therapy is important! You will know if your mental health professional is a good fit if you have a felt sense of being seen, heard, and understood by your therapist. Your therapist has interventions, insight, and tools that will help aid you in your healing journey.

If you do not “click” with your therapist, please let us know! We are happy to help you find someone that is a better fit for you, even if it is not within our office.

Everything you talk about with your therapist is confidential. Our counseling licenses require us to keep your information confidential. There are only a few exceptions, as mandated reporters, we must report to the appropriate state agencies if there is physical abuse, sexual abuse, or neglect happening to a child or a vulnerable adult. We also notify family or emergency services if a client was planning on hurting themselves or others. Therapists under supervision may consult with their supervisor to provide helpful insight into your therapeutic process. This consultation is also kept confidential with the supervisor by Arizona state laws.

What’s in a name?

“Ezra” comes from the Bible—it means “HELP.” To come alongside, to be a helping presence. As therapists, we are guiding and helping people. If they feel stuck, we can help them get unstuck. We can get so far on our own and then need another person/outside source to help us with the rest.
