As a child, I was the ‘good middle child,’ but I often found it difficult to express my thoughts and emotions, leaving me feeling unheard and disconnected. With time and understanding of my past, I’ve come to realize the power of my voice and the profound impact it has on shaping my life.

I earned my master’s degree with honors from Phoenix Seminary, and as a therapist, my goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where you can build the skills to regain control and enhance your relationships. I believe in the power of collaboration and am committed to helping you gain a deeper understanding of how your past shapes your present.

I recognize that everyone has a unique story. In our work together, we’ll explore your narrative and uncover less-than-nurturing experiences from your past. My goal is to help you identify core issues—such as low self-esteem, poor boundaries, or insecure attachment styles—that may contribute to anxiety, depression, anger, and relational challenges. By addressing these root causes, I empower you to heal and begin living a healthier, more fulfilling life.

In couples counseling, I focus on strengthening intimacy and communication, the foundation of any healthy relationship. I help partners navigate their unique dynamics, fostering open dialogue and mutual understanding. Together, we’ll identify and address patterns that may be blocking connection, allowing you to build a deeper bond and a more fulfilling partnership.
Additionally, I address the impact of trauma on brain function, which often leaves individuals feeling broken, damaged, or stuck. To facilitate healing, I use EMDR, a specialized treatment that blends neurobiology with technology to enhance the therapeutic process. I also incorporate Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, communication strategies, Internal Family Systems, and cognitive techniques to create a well-rounded and effective approach in our sessions.

With 19 years of experience in full-time ministry as a pastor’s wife and now as a licensed counselor, I’ve had the privilege of supporting a diverse range of individuals—from teen girls and young adults to newly married couples and those in crisis or experiencing profound loss. It is an honor to hear your story and walk alongside you on your journey toward healing.

“To be seen and heard, this is where your healing begins.”

I go to the mountains, where I can reconnect with nature and return to balance. Even a rainy day spent gazing at the peaks and valleys while working on a puzzle with family feels deeply healing.
Someday, when I retire, I hope to volunteer in the NICU to hold and comfort babies. For now, I find joy in volunteering at nearly every school event because, to me, children are simply the best.
