I've seen other counselors before but the help I've received here has had dramatic effect on my life in a way other counselors have not been able to help me before. The faith based yoga has also helped me bridge the gap between my mind and body in a real and concrete way. I have always been hesitant about yoga because of its eastern spiritual roots, but this faith-based yoga was great! The instructor chooses a scripture passage and continuously references back to it throughout the session. She continued to talk about how God designed our body throughout and it was very beneficial. The names of the poses have also been changed from their original names which also made me feel more comfortable. I had never attended something like that before and was nervous about being able to do any of it because I am not physically fit, but it was a good experience. I also felt very free in this space to only do what I was comfortable with. They provide mats and blocks so all you have to do is sign up on their website and then show up (stretchy pants recommended 😊).
