Areas Of Support
Denise Aguilera
Growing up in a small border town, I was raised by a resilient single mother and guided by my grandmother’s strong values. From them, I learned the importance of kindness, compassion, and care—lessons that continue to shape the way I support others today.
My own life has included challenges and experiences of trauma, and I know how isolating and overwhelming that can feel. Those experiences deepened my empathy and inspired me to help others navigate their healing journeys with understanding and hope.
I aim to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. I work with people from all walks of life—whether you’re managing stress, facing life transitions, processing past hurts, or just trying to make sense of things. Together, we’ll uncover the tools and insights that help you feel more grounded, resilient, and empowered.
I use evidence-based approaches like EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and parts work through an Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens. This helps you connect with the different “parts” of yourself with curiosity and compassion, opening the door to greater self-understanding and healing. I also have experience supporting people through addiction recovery, and I thoughtfully integrate spiritual practices when they align with your values and preferences.
Above all, I’m here to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths, find clarity, and create meaningful, lasting change. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
Love is within us. It cannot be destroyed. It can be ignored. To the extent that we abandon love we will feel it has abandoned us. Denying love is our only problem, and embracing it is the only answer. Through the power of love, we can let go of past history and begin again. Love heals, forgives, and makes whole.

More Than Just My Work
In my personal time, I find joy in exploring the great outdoors through hiking, which allows me to connect with nature and recharge my spirit. Cooking and baking are not just hobbies for me; they’re ways to express creativity and share love with those around me. Staying active is also essential to my well-being, so I prioritize my fitness routine at the gym. Family is at the heart of my life, and I cherish every moment we share, always making time to nurture those relationships. Attending church each week is important to me, as it provides community and spiritual growth. To keep my mind and spirit centered, I engage in practices that fill my cup—such as journaling, prayer, and expressing gratitude. Reading my Bible is a daily ritual that guides and inspires me to live with purpose.
