Areas Of Support
Alexa Hyzdu
My journey to counseling was shaped by my personal experiences and faith. Growing up in an unstable environment as the middle child and only girl, I found purpose in caring for others—yet it also kept me from truly knowing myself. I believe we are meant to uncover our authentic identity, break free from past patterns, and tap into our resilience.
As a therapist, I support teens, individuals, and athletes facing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, bullying, performance, identity, eating disorders and disordered eating, relational and family challenges, grief and loss, internal distress, overwhelm, and shame. My background includes leading youth at my church since 2016 and earning my Master’s in Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University.
I strive to create a warm, safe space filled with grace and truth, using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and parts work, along with mind-body healing. It’s a privilege to walk alongside clients as they discover their strength and step into wholeness.
“There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.”

More Than Just My Work
I spend a lot of time riding my horse or just loving on him, and whenever the temperature dips below 80 degrees, you’ll find me outside hiking, playing sports, watching my dog, dancing, or enjoying coffee with friends and family. Being an aunt to two little girls, ages 5 and 3, is a true gift to my heart and soul. I could happily spend my days reading with loved ones by the beach or in the mountains—both are simply divine to me.
